Creating your own activity on ActivityVine is quick and easy, as well as free.

When setting up your own activity, it will be completely private. Your social collaboration activity will only be visible to members that join through a personal invitation sent from you.

Creating a private activity on ActivityVine allows individuals to follow their activities, along with your private activity, all within one network and with one login.

Here are the steps:

1) Once logged into ActivityVine, click "+ New Activity" under the Activity directory.

2) Fill in the fields using the following guidelines:

Name: Type the name of your activity (e.g. Washington High School Book Club, New Springs Volleyball, Mrs. Hill's Sophomore English, Mr. Rustad's Social Studies, St. Mary's Faculty Study)

Web Address: Type the web address you would like to use (e.g. whsbookclub, nsvball, hill10english, rustadss, stmaryfaculty). This will provide a direct link to your private activity.

Visability: Select "Private" for your activity visibility. This makes your activity visible to individuals that you invite and join your activity. *You must select "Private" other wise ActivityVine will change your activity to private.

Short Name: This is the activity name that appears above your activity menu.

Activity Category: Select the category that most fits your activity.

Logo: This graphic will be placed along the left side of your "Activity Directory Description".

Icon: You can upload any graphic that fits your activity or you can us the default graphic shown while creating a new activity. This icon displays to the left of your activity "Name".

Activity Directory Description: Type a description about your activity so members know what your activity is all about.

External Website: You may list an external website you like.

Additional Home Page Content: This is additional content you would like to display about your activity. It is located under the Logo, Icon, External Website and Activity Directory Description.

* Note: All fields can be changed after creating your activity except the "Web Address" field.

3) Click "Submit" and your private activity will be created and will open into the "Invite Members" menu of your activity.
